Position Overview

The Shipper/Receiver Supervisor helps achieve world-class store performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth. The Shipper/Receiver Supervisor oversees the shipping and receiving of orders and helps maintain the overall organization of the branch.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise Shippers and Receivers to ensure orders for international and domestic customers are packed according to company standards, as well as international industry shipping standards (if applicable).
• Supervise Drivers to ensure that their loads are secured prior to departure as per federal and state regulations.
• Schedule loads for shipments, both internationally and domestically.
• Maintain the completion report to make sure customer parts orders are printed and pulled in a timely fashion. Expedite back-order parts through supply management.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
• Oversee overall operations of warehouse and inventory management and assist the branch in achieving other goals as needed.

Skills We Are Seeking

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Forklift experience preferred
• Supervisory experience, which includes work direction, coaching, and performance management, along with good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Logistics work experience in such areas as warehousing, materials management, or transportation, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work quickly and accurately
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
• Landscape, Nursery, or Irrigation product knowledge is helpful
• Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Degree in a Business/Management discipline, Supply Management Discipline, or equivalent experience preferred
