Pay Information

$2,300 to $2,400 per day

About The Position

Locum OB Hospitalist Physician – Ohio

📍 Location : Ohio

🗓 Dates Needed :

10 / 31 / 25 at 7 : 00 a.m. – 11 / 3 / 25 at 7 : 00 a.m.

1 / 2 / 26 at 7 : 00 a.m. – 1 / 5 / 26 at 7 : 00 a.m.

(Potential for additional vacation coverage)

Position Details :

OB Hospitalist coverage (not in-house; 30-minute response time required)

Average ~360 births / year (~1 per day)

Call rotation : 1 : 4 (weekday & weekend)

No GYN surgical cases expected

EMR : Meditech Expanse

Team : 4 physicians, APP / nursing support

Hospital size : 45 staffed beds + 20-room ED

Nursery : Level I, ~1 admission / day

C-Section rate : ~30%

Occasional high-risk deliveries (most referred to tertiary centers)

Required Procedures :

Routine deliveries : vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-sections

Complicated deliveries : C-section, breech, multiples, abruptions

OB ultrasound : Level I & II, viability, anatomic

FHR interpretation : NST & FSE

Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations (as required)

VBACs : Not performed

Amniocentesis : Not required

Compensation & Logistics :

Travel, lodging, and rental car reimbursed

Credentialing turnaround : ~14 days (clean files)

Requirements :

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB / GYN (ABOG or AOA-accredited residency)

Ohio license (required)

50 deliveries in the last 12 months (at least 5 C-sections)

ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, DEA

Clean malpractice / licensure history strongly preferred
