Howard University Hospital seeks to hire a Materials and Distribution Manager in the Materials Management department , who will embrace our rich and historic tradition of excellence.
Full-time : Monday- Friday 8AM-4 : 30PM (weekends as needed)
Pay Range : $40.71-65.14 / hr (Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility)
As a Materials and Distribution Manager, you will :
Be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the materials distribution systems. Manage issues for determination and resolution. Assists with organizational / departmental planning as- it relates to the materials management system and process flow. Develops, educates staff and implements all procedures related to the organizational use of the materials management system. Maintains inventory locations in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) stock status and coordinates with purchasing on storeroom replenishment issues. Manage the staffs daily schedule, and operational changes. Serves as point of contact for department issues and represents Materials Management on various hospital teams and committees. Plans, manages, and maintains department budget. Completes annual reviews for staff and provide disciplinary action when necessary. Other duties as assigned to support Materials Management operations.
