Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant

The role you'll contribute :
Carries out various physical therapy procedures under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. State licensure required.
The value you'll bring to the team :
- Provides treatment to relieve pain and to develop or restore function as ordered on Plan of Care.
- Provides accurate documentation.
- Teaches use of assistive devices and equipment to patients and caregivers.
- Observes, records and reports to physician any untoward reactions to treatment.
- Instructs and supervises family members to provide continuous therapy and home treatment plan.
- Maintains open communication with case manager.
- Submits daily log and charge sheets to Home Health office.
- Maintains communication with scheduler regarding caseload limitations.
- Participates in case conferences.
- Maintains open communication with primary Therapist.
- Possesses excellent time management skills.
- Meets agencys expectations regarding productivity.
- Provides in-service training to staff as requested.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
Graduated from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association; or if educated outside the United States or trained in the United States military, graduated from an education program determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist assistant entry level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or identified at 8 CFR 212.15(e)Passed a national examination for physical therapist assistants.Currently licensed and registered in the state of Florida.Active American Heart Association BLSThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
