Chief Financial & Risk Officer - North America

Role Summary
The Regional CFO for the United States will support the Group CFO in overseeing the financial management, performance, and control environment of the Group’s operations across the region. In this role, the CFO will lead the finance function for the US operations and manage the regional risk‑management function, with oversight from the Group CRO, ensuring effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial and non‑financial risks across entities in the region.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Oversight
- Lead the region’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support the Group CFO in consolidating regional performance and providing insights on key variances, trends, and drivers.
- Oversee statutory accounts, audit processes, and regulatory compliance within the region.
- Ensure financial operations comply with Group Finance and Audit policies, accounting policies, and IFRS / US GAAP where applicable.
- Implement working‑capital management, liquidity and capital adequacy forecasts, and monitoring.
Strategic and Operational Support
Partner with regional management and business heads to support growth initiatives, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement.Provide financial input into strategic decision‑making, investment analysis, and new business development.Contribute to the definition and execution of the regional business plan and medium‑term financial objectives.Risk Management and Controls
Lead the regional risk‑management function, ensuring a consistent risk framework aligned with Group standards.Identify, assess, and monitor key financial, operational, and compliance risks affecting the region.Oversee internal control effectiveness and ensure remediation of audit or control findings.Support the Group Finance, Audit, and Group Operational Risk & Compliance Committees with timely and comprehensive reporting on regional risk exposures.Governance and Compliance
Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.Maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities as required.Team Leadership and Development
Manage and develop the regional finance teams, fostering high performance, integrity, and collaboration.Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and process harmonization across entities.Serve as a key link between regional finance teams and Group Finance leadership.Candidate Profile
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum 20 years of experience in the financial industry or treasury / finance functions, preferably within investment management, a multinational or financial‑services environment.Proven track record in regional or divisional financial leadership roles.Strong command of accounting standards, risk‑management frameworks, and financial governance practices.MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a leading academic institution; ACA, CPA, or FRM qualifications are a plus.Personal Attributes
