Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an Aircraft Certification Project Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a pioneer in aviation, we challenge what's possible and shape the future of aviation through specialized engineering.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and the Bell 525 Relentless. This position will be part of the Civil Certification group supporting Bell commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities

The Certification Project Specialist will coordinate and facilitate certification projects for commercial aircraft to ensure compliance with ODA procedures and regulatory agency requirements.

  • Lead certification projects by coordinating with ODA Administrators, Unit Members, and the engineering organization to ensure certification projects comply with FAA and ODA procedural requirements.
  • Ensure the FAA / ODA and other certification requirements are understood and provide guidance on regulatory compliance to engineering and management.
  • Manage the completion of certification activities to meet critical milestones.
  • Prepare and review certification deliverables such as certification plans, conformity plans, compliance checklists, test plans, test reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Maintain detailed project records including internal and external correspondence, project application data, presentation materials, supporting compliance data, and compliance checklists.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the FAA and other certification agencies to facilitate the execution of certification projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years' aircraft certification experience. 6 or more years preferred.
  • Familiarity with FAA certification processes : 14 CFR Part 21, 23, 25, 27, 29
  • Prefer experience working with an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) ODA system.
