Job Title - Gaming Development Engineering Manager

Location - Hybrid in Redmond, WA

About the Role :

  • We are seeking a passionate and experienced Gaming Development Engineering Manager to lead our talented team of game developers and engineers.
  • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and has a strong technical background in game development, along with proven leadership skills.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a team of game developers, software engineers, and technical artists to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams to define game features, architecture, and development timelines.
  • Drive technical excellence and innovation in game development, including performance optimization, scalability, and platform compatibility.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and development methodologies to enhance productivity and game quality.
  • Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk mitigation across multiple projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and platform guidelines.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Game Development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in game development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong proficiency in game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary engines.
  • Experience with cross-platform development (PC, console, mobile).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful game titles or major game features.

  • Salary Range : The salary for this position is between $100,000 to $140,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
