Summary
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are the backbone of the healthcare system, providing essential care to patients in a variety of settings. They work directly under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, assisting with patients' daily living activities, hygiene, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities :
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating.
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes to the nurse.
- Help patients ambulate (walk) or transfer from bed to wheelchair or chair.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as brushing teeth, combing hair, and shaving.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Collect and document patient information, such as intake and output of fluids.
- Clean and disinfect patient equipment and rooms.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)BLS (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Only)CNA Certification License or DiplomaTB / PPD or Chest X-rayDriver LicensePhysical / Medical ClearanceAt least 1 year of experience as CNAAll Vaccines : Flu Shot, Varicella Vaccine, MMR Vaccine, Hep B Vaccine, COVID Vaccine Card,Compassionate and caring natureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical stamina to lift and move patients
