Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Polysomnographer Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel 36490606 Job Summary : Accountable for performing and coordinating and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. The incumbent provides care to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health care professionals. Job Responsibilities : -Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using various modes of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions. -Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT). -Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic studies. -Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies. -Completes record keeping and charting. -This position provides supervision, mentorship, and orientation / ongoing education of the PSG Tech and PST CPSGT Required Skills & Experience : -Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems. -Demonstrated communication skills. -Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently. -Ability to Score Studies according to AASM guidelines. -Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. -Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients / clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. -May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts. Preferred Skills & Experience : -Clinical or patient care experience. -Proven ability to supervise others.
