A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details : - Work 3x12 night shifts from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM - 36 guaranteed hours per week - No call requirements - Must have 2 years Med Surg / Tele experience - Required certifications : BLS, ACLS - Must pass telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips - Nevada RN license required prior to start - Provide care for 29-bed unit with 1 : 4-6 patient ratios - Care for combination of telemetry and medical status patients including COPD, sepsis, respiratory illnesses, ETOH withdrawal, diabetes, GI bleed - May be required to float to other units based on competency level - Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve Days = 1 Holiday) - Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period - Utilize nursing process for comprehensive care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients - Work with ancillary staff including Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical Occupational Therapists Facility : This medical center serves as the region's only Level II Trauma Center, providing the most advanced care between Sacramento and Salt Lake City.
