Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! As a EFDA, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and complete restorations (fillings, crowns, etc.). The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience. If youre friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortableDiscuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they haveTake vital signs and accurately record medical / dental historyCapture any x-rays necessaryPrepares operatories for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocolsAssist dentist during procedures and examsAdhere to all health and safety regulations and office policiesTurn over rooms and sterilize instruments in an efficient mannerQualifications
Certification of completion of EFDA CourseActive Radiography license (required)Previous experience as an EFDAStrong computer and data entry skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to provide high-quality patient careAdditional certification or training is an asset (coronal polishing, fluoride application, etc.)
