Overview
Larimer County is seeking a confident leader with industry experience and a strong foundation in solid waste operations and regulatory compliance to be the Solid Waste Diversion and Transfer Station Manager. You will oversee the daily operations at the transfer station to ensure efficient waste management, safe operations, and regulatory compliance. You will also manage budgets, administrative functions, and customer service delivery while leading programs for construction and demolition (C&D) diversion, green waste processing, and recycling initiatives, and ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including DOT records for CDL drivers. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver efficient, sustainable solutions for our community. The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m., with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to oversee operations at the Transfer Station Facility.
