Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #MA-IS)

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area to work with an active and friendly young woman. She is looking for a kind staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : going to the gym and walking or exercising in her community such as at parks, socialization and recreational activities with peers, meal preparation and general independence.

This individual is often shy and requires patience and assistance to discuss and interact with others. She would like opportunities to research, discuss and participate in : opportunities in her community, recipes, and processes. She benefits from pauses to process information before engaging. She would like staff that are interested in participating alongside her, assisting her to remain engaged. She'd like staff that are able to encourage her to direct her day and her services, so she can identify her preferences and maximize her independence.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and active. Prior experience is a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a High School diploma / GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Hiring for the following shifts with flexibility :

Monday to Friday 9 AM-3 PM

Saturday and Sunday 9 AM-3 PM

Individual willing to consider different schedule / shifts for the right applicant. Individual will consider applicants with partial (above) availability. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Staff will receive mileage reimbursement for all transportation accumulated with the individual

Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
