As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician - Level 3 to join our team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Level 3 Maintenance Technician performs advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and fabrication tasks across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. This role works independently to diagnose complex issues, read and modify technical drawings, and perform custom fabrication and installations according to engineering requirements. The Level 3 technician also helps develop work instructions (SOPs / WIs), supports continuous improvement projects, and mentors junior maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex production and facility systems.
- Independently troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical problems.
- Read, modify, and fabricate components based on isometric and mechanical drawings.
- Perform basic welding and soldering to support maintenance and fabrication needs.
- Apply basic rigging skills for safe handling and installation of equipment and components.
- Conduct structural steel installations following approved drawings and engineering specifications.
- Establish, update, and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Lead and perform mechanical installations, alignments, and calibrations.
- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians in troubleshooting and maintenance best practices.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities in the QT9 system and other digital tools.
- Support Maintenance and Engineering teams with reliability improvements and project work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain proper PPE usage.
Required Qualifications
S. Citizenship7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including hands-on work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.Proven ability to read, modify, and fabricate from isometric or mechanical drawings.Experience with basic welding, soldering, and rigging.Demonstrated independent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience installing and maintaining structural steel and mechanical systems.Ability to create and update SOPs, WIs, and technical documentation.Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Windows, and maintenance management systems).Excellent communication and mentoring skills.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality systems.Experience with PLCs, injection molding, or extrusion systems.Certification or training in mechanical, electrical, welding, or machining trades.Knowledge of reliability and preventive maintenance practices.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.Tolerate noise, dust, and temperature changes in a manufacturing environment.Occasional after-hours work may be required for urgent maintenance needs.Benefits
