Telemetry RN Job Details – Springfield, IL Location : Springfield, IL 62769 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : September 8, 2025 End Date : December 7, 2025 Shift : 12-hour day shifts (AM); every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950–$2090 Healthcare Setting : Neuro / Oncology / General Surgery Unit Employment Type : Travel RN position Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience in a U.S. hospital Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications Clinical experience with neuro, oncology, and surgical patient populations Proficiency in administering anti-arrhythmic and anti-seizure IV medications Preferred : Chemo certification Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro, oncology, and surgical patients in a telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and neurological status for acute care patients Administer IV medications, including anti-arrhythmic and anti-seizure drugs, per hospital protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Why Choose Springfield, IL for Your Next Travel Nursing Job?
