Labor Manager – Commercial Flooring Division
About the Opportunity :
InteriorWorx Commercial Flooring is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Labor Manager to support our growing operations team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our projects run smoothly by coordinating schedules, communicating job details, and supporting our network of skilled subcontractors.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where clear communication and follow-through make all the difference.
Role Summary :
The Labor Manager acts as the central point of coordination between Project Managers, Warehouse / Materials staff, and subcontracted installation crews. This position oversees job intake, subcontractor assignment, documentation distribution, and schedule management using JobRunner, Monday.com, Outlook, and mobile communication.
Key Responsibilities :
Job Intake & Review :
- Review incoming work orders and project details on a daily basis.
- Verify scope, location, start dates, estimated durations, photos, drawings, and material lists.
- Identify and communicate potential schedule adjustments when needed.
Subcontractor Scheduling & Coordination :
Assign subcontractors based on skillset, availability, location, and job requirements.Maintain open communication with installation crews to confirm scheduling and job readiness.Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors through clear expectations and consistent support.Documentation & Job Preparation :
Compile and distribute complete job packets including work orders, drawings, photos, pick tickets, and special instructions.Confirm that subcontractors have received and understand all materials prior to starting the project.Ensure documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible.Project Follow-Through :
Update JobRunner and Monday.com as schedules, assignments, or project conditions change.Provide timely communication to internal teams regarding progress, updates, or issues.Serve as a primary point of contact for installer questions and jobsite coordination.Reporting & Team Support :
Communicate weekly labor capacity, subcontractor availability, and scheduling risks to leadership.Participate in daily and weekly operations meetings to support planning and execution.Maintain accurate communication logs and documentation.Qualifications :
Experience in flooring, construction, scheduling, dispatching, or project coordination.Familiarity with installation types and subcontractor workflows is preferred.Proficiency with scheduling or workflow systems (JobRunner, Monday.com, or similar tools).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities.Ability to build supportive, professional relationships with internal teams and subcontractors.Bilingual (English / Spanish) is an advantage.Benefits :
