Description :

The Weyerhaeuser Lumber Mill in Dodson, LA is looking for a skilled Saw filer. The primary function is to ensure the sawmill and planer mills always have a supply of sharp saws.

The pay range for this role is $28.98 (Level 1) to $41.66 (Lead) depending on experience and education.

Key Functions : The Saw Filer will be responsible for filing room activities consisting of, but not limited to :

• Ensuring the sawmill always has a supply of sharp saws
• Stellite, repair and weld in broken teeth
• Babbitt mill chipper knives
• Assisting in saw changes
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage or unsafe conditions
• Identify quality and efficiency problems
• Housekeeping
• Maintenance of filing room equipment
• Sawmill machine alignment
• Other work processes as necessary
