Levi’s Stadium is seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Director of Event Sales to lead the pursuit of high-profile events at one of the most dynamic venues in the NFL. This role is responsible for curating a balanced, high-impact event calendar that maximizes revenue, elevates brand visibility, and strengthens Levi’s Stadium’s reputation as a premier global destination.

As Senior Director, you will serve as the primary liaison to major event promoters, agents, tour managers, and rights holders — negotiating and securing marquee events for the Bay Area. Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, you will ensure the seamless integration of large-scale public and private events within a complex stadium calendar.

This position requires a creative, solutions-driven leader with deep industry relationships, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Base pay range

$175,000.00 / yr - $185,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Partner with the Vice President of Levi’s Stadium Events to identify, pursue, and secure major public events that align with the venue’s strategic and financial objectives.
  • Serve as the senior executive contact for all public event bookings - managing relationships, sourcing opportunities, overseeing contract negotiations, settlements, and post-event reporting.
  • Leverage an extensive network of industry relationships to generate new business opportunities with promoters, agents, tour managers, leagues, and entertainment executives.
  • Proactively attend key industry conferences and events to cultivate relationships with decision-makers and position Levi’s Stadium as the first call for major tours and events.
  • Manage all stages of the sales pipeline, from initial inquiries and RFPs through negotiation, contracting, and post-event settlement.
  • Identify and develop unique, first-time programming that pushes creative boundaries and broadens the venue’s event portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain a strategically balanced event calendar that maximizes utilization, strengthens the brand, and delivers an exceptional fan experience.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Partnerships, Public Relations, Risk Management, Santa Clara Stadium Authority, and Ticketing to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Oversee a high-performing sales team focused on private event sales, setting clear goals, expectations, and professional development pathways.
  • Establish long-term department strategies, annual sales targets, and marketing plans to achieve business growth and profitability goals.
  • Continuously monitor industry developments, emerging talent, and market dynamics to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Abilities and Skills :

  • Education and Experience :

  • At least 10-12 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep network of established relationships with promoters, agents, and entertainment industry professionals.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing large-scale event deals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Outlook.

    Traditional office hours as well as nights and weekends are required. Working out of office for business development opportunities required.

    Travel :

    30% of local travel time and 5% of intra and interstate travel requiring overnight stay are expected for this position.
