Swiss-Type CNC Lathe Setup Machinist (Tsugami Platforms)

Express Employment Professionals of Rancho Cucamonga is hiring a skilled machinist to set up and operate Tsugami Swiss-type CNC lathes producing tight-tolerance components.

Compensation : $30+ / hour to start, based on experience and technical capability.

Role snapshot

• Translate work orders, blueprints, and drawings into robust Swiss-turn setups.
• Run production to exacting tolerances; monitor, adjust, and optimize throughout the job.
• Load raw stock, set tooling, and verify offsets for consistent accuracy.
• Execute first-article and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, gauges .
• Make program edits and tool / wear offset changes to maintain dimensional control.
• Perform tooling changes and minor maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
• Keep the work cell clean, safe, and organized per company standards.
• Document production counts, scrap, downtime, and quality notes.
• Partner with Quality Control and Engineering to troubleshoot issues.
• Support training / mentorship of junior operators.
