Snap-on is looking for a highly motivated engineer to create manufacturing equipment and processes for Hand Tool Manufacturing at our Elkmont, Alabama plant. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to building a world class manufacturing facility right here in the North Alabama area. Snap-on is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on building exciting products.

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 a.m. until 3 : 00 p.m. with overtime as maybe required for the business operations that may include weekends. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

This position applies technical knowledge and expertise in the development and implementation of new and improved manufacturing processes, procedures and equipment. Ensure that the design specifications and procurement of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures etc. meet company requirements and objectives. Manufacturing Engineers work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work closely with Engineering Technicians, Tool and Die Makers, Quality, and Production to take design changes and new Tool designs from initial concept through prototype development and into full production.
