Our Emergency Department has 8 beds including 2 trauma ready beds and our team cares for patients of all ages, from infant to end of life. Our patient population includes many industrial, farming and motor vehicle accidents. As the first point of contact for many patients receiving care at our facility, we strive to provide dependable, fast paced & thoughtful care to each patient. As a RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support department director / manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and / or service line. Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Position does not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serves as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties. Provides input and recommendations to the director / manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

• KS RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
• BLS from the American Heart Association required within 8 weeks from hire
• ALCS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire
• PALS from the American Heart Association or ENPC required within six months of hire
• NIHSS required within six months of hire
• TNCC required within six months of hire
• Emergency Room RN experience preferred
• One year RN experience
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Night shift- 6 : 45p-7 : 15 am
