Role Summary
As a recognized leader within the organization, the Portfolio & Program Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology and business initiatives. This individual will be a thought leader and expert in project management methodologies, responsible for aligning project outcomes with strategic goals while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver programs and projects on time, within scope, and on budget
- Manage a hybrid team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters using Predictive (Waterfall), Adaptive (Agile), and Hybrid methodologies
- Oversee project lifecycle activities including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Ensure consistent documentation and reporting aligned with organizational PM standards
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth
- Drive risk, issue, and change management processes to ensure project health and alignment
- Provide strategic input into monthly portfolio health reports for senior leadership
- Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and delivery excellence
Technical Skills - Nice to Have
Experience with ServiceNow (especially PPM modules)Familiarity with Waterfall methodologies and Azure DevOps (ADO) boardsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeMinimum 7 years of experience as a Program ManagerProven success managing in a hybrid project environmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience in Banking or Financial ServicesProficiency with project portfolio management tools (ServiceNow PPM preferred)Strong skills in MS Excel and MS Project for schedule trackingDeep understanding of project lifecycle methodologies and PM standardsExceptional communication skills across technical and business audiencesStrong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to lead through ambiguity and drive changePassion for learning and understanding complex software solutionsHigh level of professionalism and ability to build trust with stakeholdersExperience leading large-scale, cross-functional IT programsPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00 / hr .
