Opportunity : RN - Tele Job Details : - Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM - Weekend requirement : 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule - Patient ratios may be 5-6 : 1 depending on floor assignment and patient acuity - One year recent nursing experience preferred - Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN License required - Current BLS via AHA required - Current ACLS via AHA required - Required to float to any floor of the facility based on need and staffing at facility discretion - Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation - Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families - Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers - New hires receive precepting by designated trained staff member - Complete organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Complete annual competency verification requirements Facility : This healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital providing telemetry services and various medical specialties.
