Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

The Somerset County Sanitary District, Inc. is accepting applications for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency.  Applicants should have some mechanical or process monitoring experience. The candidate should be interested in learning about pumps, plumbing, and maintenance.  Experience or licensing in the fields of wastewater or water treatment is a plus. A Maryland Class D license is required.  A copy of the applicant’s license and MVA Driving Record must be submitted with all applications.

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator position includes the following benefits :   MD Pension System, Health Insurance, Vacation, Sick and Personal leave.

All Positions are Grade 6 with a starting salary of $45,420 - $74,426.  A higher grade and starting salary are available for a licensed and experienced candidate.
