Position : Mentor / Community Living Support Worker
Location : Pontiac, Michigan
Schedule : Afternoons after 3 : 00 PM (flexible part-time hours)
Pay : $15.20-$16.20 per hour, paid weekly
Training : Paid training provided
We are seeking a positive, dependable mentor to support a 16-year-old male in developing key skills for adulthood. The mentor will focus on socialization , job-readiness , and independent living tasks , providing guidance both at home and in the community.Responsibilities :
- Support social skill development through structured conversation, community outings, and modeling appropriate interactions
- Assist with basic job-readiness skills such as exploring interests, practicing applications, interview basics, and understanding workplace expectations
- Work on independent living tasks tailored to the client's goals (organization, planning, self-advocacy, etc.)
- Encourage confidence, responsibility, and positive decision-making
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment and follow established care guidelines
