Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift\n\nLocation\n\nNot specified\n\nAssignment Duration\n\nThis is a 13-week contract position.\n\nSchedule\n\nNight shift : 7 PM - 7 AM\n\nJob Description\n\nThe competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to plan for long-range goals. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.\n
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.\n
• Administers medications and treatments according to the appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.\n
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.\n
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and / or caregivers.\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.\n
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.\n
• BLS certification required.\n
