Ready Study Go in Cerritos, CA is looking for one in-person tutor for special education to join our teaching team.

We are seeking a tutor to work in-person with K-12 students with special needs who need in-person tutoring. We are looking for tutors who are passionate about education, enjoy working with school-aged children, and want to be innovative and creative in their approaches to engaging students in learning.

Preference will be given to applicants who are studying or have specializaton in special education.

Tutors, Students & members of the student's household are required to follow strict health protocols in accordance with LA and OC regulations. RSG will provide any needed supplies / resources / oversight to ensure regulations are met.

Availability :

4-12 hours per week. We are looking for tutors to assist during the after-school hours (after 2p) during the academic year.

Job Requirements :

Tutors must be able to teach English and math at a middle school level (through 8th grade). Applicants still in school must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher, and have received a grade of B or higher in their most recent English and math classes (if not, please explain in a cover letter). Graduated applicants must demonstrate successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher.

Pay :  $15-18 / hour (DOE)

About Ready Study Go - After School Academy

Ready Study Go has been working with schools in Cerritos for the past 14 years and we were one of the first programs in the area to transition online and offer digital support to our students when schools shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We primarily offer Homework Assistance, Subject Tutoring and Socratic Style programs online - however we also are providing 1 : 1 tutoring in-person for students with special needs as part of essential educational services.

We are about positive, supportive education – working to build real connections between students and their tutors so children feel supported and encouraged as they learn and are challenged to grow.

Locations & Services

We are currently serving students in the ABC, Los Alamitos, Long Beach and Downey school districts, as well as students at local private schools.
