Position Overview :
Join a dynamic team as an Electrophysiology Technologist performing invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and radiology procedures. This role involves operating and ensuring quality assurance of imaging, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment. You will actively participate in daily lab activities including scrub, float, monitor, and imaging technology responsibilities.
Education and Certification :
- Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
- Completion of a radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology program with certification in ARRT and / or RCIS or RCES.
- Applicants with other healthcare-related degrees holding an AAS and registry eligibility may apply but must obtain RCIS or RCES certification within one year of employment.
Experience and Skills :
Experience in electrophysiology is highly preferred; experience in invasive diagnostic radiology and interventional cardiology procedures is also considered.Strong ability to assess patient needs and respond appropriately.Thorough knowledge of medications, emergency procedures, and medical equipment.Capability to initiate emergency actions within scope of practice and legal guidelines.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals.Maintains composure in high-stress environments.Proficient in operating x-ray and patient monitoring equipment.Flexible with work schedules including variable shifts.Physical Requirements :
Good hearing, clear speech, visual acuity, motor coordination, and manual dexterity.Physical and mental stamina to perform medium to heavy work, including moving equipment and patients.Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and frequently carry objects up to 50 lbs.Wearing lead aprons and standing for extended periods is required.Potential exposure to ionizing radiation and infectious materials during patient care.Ability to manage stress from heavy patient scheduling and interaction with physicians, including unstable patient conditions.
