About the Opportunity
A top-tier, family-owned construction and service company is seeking a Vice President of Service to lead and strategically grow a $15M+ service division toward a $2530M goal over the next five years. This is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving growth, leading teams across the state, and shaping the long-term strategy of a 24 / 7 service organization that supports critical infrastructure in highly regulated industries.
The Vice President of Service will serve as the Driver of the Service Division setting vision, driving business development, developing people, and ensuring operational excellence. This person will report directly to the Vice President & General Manager and sit on the Executive Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the Service Division across multiple regions, overseeing field operations, internal operations, and regional managers.Partner with sales and executive leadership to define and execute the strategic growth plan for Service.Drive expansion into new areas such as electrical, petroleum, and building maintenance while maintaining exceptional service standards.Develop and execute business plans for new service offerings, including compliance, electrical maintenance / testing, and facility support.Build a culture of accountability, performance, and professional development among service technicians and managers.Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of service technicians; ensure leadership pipelines are developed within the division.Represent the company at industry associations (PEI, etc.) and with customers, vendors, and partners.Manage financial performance to achieve 3040% gross profit targets and deliver consistent revenue growth.Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in service operations, ideally within petroleum, electrical, HVAC, or other regulated technical fields.Experience scaling a multi-location service business with dispatch and field teams.Proven ability to blend strategic sales, operational management, and people leadership .Background growing service revenue through maintenance programs, compliance work, and / or recurring service contracts.Strong understanding of industry compliance and safety standards.Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills able to connect with field techs and executives alike.Comfortable navigating organizational politics and influencing at all levels.Curious, humble, and growth-oriented not a top-down boss culture fit.Why This Role
