Our community is growing and thriving. To better serve our communities growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currently under a complete renovation to better serve our patients.

The new Emergency Department will be a 31-bed unit with a 4 : 1 ratio for acute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. Our Emergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespan for all medical emergencies. We are a designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.

We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants.

How you will contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role :

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we are looking for

Applicants should have a current VA RN license

Bachelors degree preferred but not required
