Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support role at Jobs via Dice .
Responsibilities
- Monitor system for equipment failure or performance errors.
- Respond to program error messages by locating and correcting problems or terminating the program.
- Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs.
- Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and produce reports.
- Perform assigned tasks and escalates issues during high?volume work activity or escalation?based situations.
- Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision.
- Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming / outgoing deliveries (e.g., purchase order receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor activities).
- Ensure complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
- Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activities.
- Perform material movement, including shipping / receiving and inventory management per standard process.
- Perform destruction of data?bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks.
Requirements
High School diploma / GED and 2+ years of experience in a warehouse / supply chain in an information technology environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.Associates degree in Computer Programming or equivalent training required.02 years experience required.Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).Previous experience working in a data center environment.Verbal and written communication skills, problem?solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.Pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
