Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Bay City, TX 77414 (Texas Gulf Coast)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (rotating 36 / 48 schedule), including weekends and holidays

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1740 - $1860

Start Date : October 18, 2025

End Date : January 17, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Texas or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience

At least 2 years of recent Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) nursing experience

Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA required)

Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as a task nurse

Experience with MEDITECH electronic charting system preferred

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical Surgical unit

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Float to ED and ICU for clinical support as needed

Accurately document patient care using MEDITECH

Deliver compassionate nursing care during weekends and holidays as part of the rotating schedule

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
