Job description

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Surgical team on a Full Time basis. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and / or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.

Essential Functions :

  • Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and / or other qualified staff.
  • Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely manner
  • Ensures patients' safety
  • Performs clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unit
  • Participates in continued personal growth and development
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Position Requirements :

  • Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Prefer previous experience in a hospital and / or healthcare setting
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
  • Computer Competency : Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills : Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

    • Work Shift : Full Time, .75 FTE

  • 24-36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
  • Scheduled Days : Variable Days
  • Weekdays : 7 : 00 p.m. or 7 : 30 a.m.
  • Every 3rd Weekend : 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.
  • Every 3rd Holiday - 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.
