Job Description : A Brief Overview
Delivers designated supplies and prescriptions.
What You Will Do :
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
- Verify the contents of inventory.
- Discuss any feedback received from deliveries with Supervisor.
- Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to Supervisor, using cellular telephone.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications :
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred1-3 years experience working in customer service RequiredKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Managing one's own time and the time of others.Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Talking to others to convey information effectively.Selecting and using training / instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.Controlling operations of equipment or systems.Actively looking for ways to help people.The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.The ability to see details at a distance.The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
