CoreCivic is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Per Diem Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality dental care in an institutional setting, ensuring the health and well-being of inmates / residents.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Assisting the dentist in treating inmates / residents by preparing all necessary instruments and materials for each procedure.
- After each procedure, ensuring the dental unit and instruments are thoroughly sterilized and ready for the next patient.
- Managing medications, syringes, and dental supplies, along with maintaining accurate inventory as per established protocols.
- Keeping work areas and equipment clean by employing appropriate sanitation methods.
- Reviewing dental services provided to prevent any duplication or inappropriate use.
- Monitoring the status of inmates / residents to ensure all necessary treatments and interventions are completed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED certification required.At least one year of experience in dental assisting.Completion of a dental assistant training program or equivalent, complying with the Dental Practice Act in the state of practice.A valid driver's license is mandatory.Minimum age of 18 years required.At CoreCivic, we believe in a drug-free workplace and are committed to diversity and inclusion, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
