Per Diem Dental Assistant

CoreCivic is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Per Diem Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality dental care in an institutional setting, ensuring the health and well-being of inmates / residents.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Assisting the dentist in treating inmates / residents by preparing all necessary instruments and materials for each procedure.
• After each procedure, ensuring the dental unit and instruments are thoroughly sterilized and ready for the next patient.
• Managing medications, syringes, and dental supplies, along with maintaining accurate inventory as per established protocols.
• Keeping work areas and equipment clean by employing appropriate sanitation methods.
• Reviewing dental services provided to prevent any duplication or inappropriate use.
• Monitoring the status of inmates / residents to ensure all necessary treatments and interventions are completed.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED certification required.

At least one year of experience in dental assisting.

Completion of a dental assistant training program or equivalent, complying with the Dental Practice Act in the state of practice.

A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Minimum age of 18 years required.
