36490606 \n\n\n\nJob Summary : \nAccountable for performing and coordinating and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. The incumbent provides care to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health care professionals.\n\n\n\nJob Responsibilities : \n -Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using various modes of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.\n-Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).\n-Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic studies.\n-Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.\n-Completes record keeping and charting.\n-This position provides supervision, mentorship, and orientation / ongoing education of the PSG Tech and PST CPSGT\n\n\n\nRequired Skills & Experience : \n-Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.\n-Demonstrated communication skills.\n-Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.\n-Ability to Score Studies according to AASM guidelines.\n-Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.\n-Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients / clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.\n-Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.\n-May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience : \n-Clinical or patient care experience.\n-Proven ability to supervise others. Available to work the night shift with demonstrated ability to do so.\n-Demonstrated ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems\n-Demonstrated communication skills.\n-Demonstrated ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment.\n\n\n\nRequired Education : \n-High School Degree or GED.\n\nPreferred Education : \n-Anatomy courses.\n\n\n\nRequired Certifications & Licensure : \n-BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers.\n-Current RPSGT / RST or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licensed in the state of practice, if required.\n-Specific certifications or skills as required by facility or patient population (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP).
