Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Experience :

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Additional Details :

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills / Experience : Skills : IV therapy, Accessing / Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Chronic / Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration / Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA / Acute Stroke management, GI surgery, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions / Use of PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains / Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure, IV insulin protocols, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Post Neurosurgery management.

Preferred Skills / Experience : Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills : Assist with Chest Tube Insertion / Removal, Chemotherapy Administration, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pre / Post Cardiac Cath / intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation / Replacement (TAVI / TAVR), Phlebotomy.

Required Credentials : Cannot have any hits / suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. ID : Drivers License / State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID required. Cert : ACLS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or "Heart&Stroke" certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only.

Shift & Scheduling : Weekends will likely exceed every other to meet unit needs. Is on-call req : No.

Floating Requirements : Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and / or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
