Senior Full Stack Developer

You'll be part of a cross-functional team focused on creating and maintaining high-impact, high-traffic applications used across New Zealand and around the world. You'll contribute to building intuitive, high-performance interfaces with ReactJS, developing and deploying robust APIs on AWS.

Your work will ensure the ongoing reliability, usability, and scalability of the systems that power MetService.

You will design, build, and maintain features across an existing and future suite of meteorological and oceanographical products. The role encompasses end-to-end development, including creation, enhancement, and maintenance of front-end web applications, back-end services, and systems infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong foundation in React and a solid understanding of modern software development practices. You're confident working with both front-end and back-end technologies and have :

• Solid and proven experience developing high-performance front-end features using ReactJS.
• Experience building APIs with NodeJS, with a strong understanding of RESTful principles.
• Experience with AWS Cloud, particularly services such as Lambda, S3 and Cloudfront.
• Proficiency with both NoSQL and SQL databases, including technologies such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
• Strong experience with Git and CI / CD using GitHub Actions.
• Value teamwork and thrives in collaborative environments
• Communicate clearly and effectively
