Supervisor - Melting

Essential Functions

• Responsible for providing molding operations with scheduled quantities of molten iron at the required chemistry
• Responsible for the charging of cupola melting system and emission systems including holding furnaces and iron carriers
• Monitors iron chemistry for carbon-silicon content
• Maintain the melting equipment
• Ensure safety of employees
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Oversee all iron production and iron delays

EDUCATION

Language skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as QCL’s, MSDS sheets, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or supervisors.

Mathematical skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning ability Critical decision making

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
