Under general supervision, performs a variety of cleaning and custodialduties including daily cleaning and supplying of bathrooms, offices and otherassigned areas in accordance with standard procedures. Uses cleaningdevices such as wet mops, wringers, duster, vacuum cleaner and othernecessary tools, products and supplies. Removes trash to appropriateareas. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Empties waste baskets and removes trash.
2. Dusts surfaces that collect dust.
3. Vacuums carpeted floor surfaces.
4. Damp wipes and cleans furniture.
5. Cleans walls, windows and polishes metal surfaces.
6. Cleans and polishes metal surfaces and porcelain fixtures inbathrooms.
7. Replenishes restroom consumable supplies.
8. Dry and wet mops hard-surface floors.
9. Maintains and stocks janitorial closet at all times.
10. Picks up trash on a regular schedule during the shift or as needed forspecial pick ups.
11. Ensures that equipment is kept clean and reports any malfunctionsor safety hazards to the supervisor.
12. Follows established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners andpower equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
13. Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to preparecleaning solutions, according to specifications.
14. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additionsto building operating systems.
15. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning andmaintenance duties.
16. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water orother cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
17. Responds to special requests from manager or customer for specialevents or other extra cleaning requirements.

1. Regularly required to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull,reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, use hands tofinger, handle and/or feel objects, tools or controls, speak and hear.
2. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and armsabove shoulder level, lift up to 60 pounds.
3. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for thetask, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

2. Work may be performed indoors, outdoors or both.
