As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Assembler, you fit and assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos and sketches under moderate supervision.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, depending on the incumbent is performing, you may be required to :

• Read and understand bill of materials
• Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or per work instructions
• Fit, align, adjust, fasten and / or plumb parts together to ordinary tolerances
• Use tools such as wrenches, impact guns, utility knife, drift pins, sealant tape, glue, staple gun, nail gun, sheet grinder and any other required tools / equipment safely and effectively
• Operate a man lift, scissor lift, overhead crane, hoist and / or forklift as required after in house certification is obtained
• Tag and label finished units
• Confers with supervision, area lead, maintenance, or others to resolve assembly issues
• Cross-train in other departments
• Other tasks as assigned

As required by law in this state, the estimated hourly rate range for this position is $19-$21 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate's experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
