ICU Nursing Job Details

Location : Burlington, VT (05401) – Vermont nursing jobs

Setting : Resource Float – ICU / IMCU units (SICU, MICU, Miller 3, Miller 4)

Assignment Length : 16-32 weeks

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Shift : 12-hour nights

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2050 - $2200

ICU Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience in a large, teaching hospital

Prior travel nursing experience required

Clinical experience with post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery patients

EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)

Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS required prior to start)

CCRN certification preferred

Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible

Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Float between ICU and IMCU units, providing expert care for critically ill patients including cardiovascular, COPD, DKA, stroke, and sepsis cases

Deliver high-quality nursing care for post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, general surgery, and neurosurgery patients

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a dynamic teaching hospital

Work 2 out of 4 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day

Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR

Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
