Seasonal Interpreter / Maintenance Worker

Sinks Canyon is located just outside of Lander, WY, and is home to unique geological features, abundant wildlife, and world-class rock climbing. The park is currently seeking enthusiastic seasonal staff to fill positions in maintenance and cave tours. This position will work approximately 10 hours per week through the spring of 2026. Limited housing may be available.

Essential Functions : The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service to staff and park guests
- Greet guests, answer visitor questions, and provide pertinent information about the site and surrounding area
- Engage with visitors through interpretive techniques to provide education and site orientation
- Develop and present interpretive programs, guided hikes, cave tours, and hands-on activities to guests of all ages
- Assist with the development of non-personal interpretive content including social media and interpretive graphics
- Assist with the development and implementation of special events
- Staff the visitor center as needed
- Provide janitorial services in the visitor center and campgrounds
- Assist with special projects and events as needed
- Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry
- May be required to assist with the feeding and care of live exhibit animals, including reptiles and small mammals
- May be required to assist in the Visitor Center answering questions and operating the computer / register for reservations and sales
