Job Summary :
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the implementation of the physician's order for Occupational Therapy services. The Occupational Therapist should provide all necessary aspects of Occupational Therapy within an interdisciplinary environment in order to facilitate the return of the patient to as independent and as safe of a lifestyle as possible. The Occupational Therapist must utilize growth and development knowledge based on the care of children (pediatric), adolescents, adults, and adult geriatric patients. The OT demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development. The OT possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his / her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Qualifications : Education / Skills
The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of a four-year bachelors degree or approved
Masters Degree Occupational Therapy Program. Acute Care Therapists and Therapy Assistants will
Have 2 hours of stroke education annually.
Work Experience :
May be a recent graduate.
Certification / Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
Additional Certification / Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
