IOEM Area Field Officer
Applications will be accepted through 4 : 59 PM MST on the posting end date. This position is assigned to the Idaho Office of Emergency Management (IOEM), a bureau operating with the Idaho Military Division (IMD). The primary purpose of these positions is to provide management and oversight of the IOEM regions throughout the state of Idaho, to ensure full disaster and emergency operations capability in each region. The duty location of this position is within the geographic region assigned.

Mandatory requirements include : a valid and unrestricted state issued driver's license, willingness to travel by all modes of transportation and stay at destinations for moderate to extended periods, favorable NACI / T1 Federal Background Investigation, agreement to attend / accomplish required training, and residing within the assigned geographic region or be willing to relocate at own expense to reside within the assigned geographic region.
Required experience includes 36 months' experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.
Knowledge required includes : IOEM structure, internal and external programs, supported and supporting relationships with emergency response partners, the mission, and role within the IMD and the State of Idaho; National Incident Management System, the Incident Command System, and Federal and state disaster laws, rules and regulations; Federal Grant Program guidance and policies, and federal disaster assistance programs; roles, functions, and support requirements of local, county, tribal, and state government across the spectrum of emergency response; Microsoft Office suite of programs; and written and oral communication.
