Summary
The ISO-Static Molder is responsible for operating high-pressure molding equipment to produce PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) parts that meet quality and production standards. This role requires precision, adherence to safety and ISO procedures, and strong teamwork within a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor ISO-static molding machines to produce PTFE components.
- Measure, weigh, and prepare PTFE powders to ensure proper material handling.
- Maintain accurate molding records including pressures, cycle times, and material usage.
- Perform inspections of molded parts for density, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality.
- Conduct routine mold cleaning, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance support.
- Safely handle powders and operate high-pressure systems in compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company safety standards.
- Identify, document, and report process or equipment issues, assisting in root-cause problem solving.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet production goals and improve processes.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Accredited high school diploma or GED required.Experience in plastics molding, powder processing, or compression / ISO-static molding preferred.Familiarity with PTFE or fluoropolymer processing a strong plus.Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.Competency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and density scales.Basic math and mechanical aptitude for process adjustments and troubleshooting.Forklift certification and OSHA safety training are preferred.One to three months’ experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.Soft Skills & Competencies
