Job Description
As a Financial Analyst, you will apply financial modeling and analytics expertise to support decision-making for strategic M&A programs and other projects. You will be part of a finance business partnering team that leverages Technology Business Management (TBM) practices and software solutions to promote cost transparency, foster IT and Business alignment, and assist IT leadership teams in managing and communicating the cost, quality, and value of technology investments.
Responsibilities
Manage robust program financial consolidation models and analytics to identify emerging trends, support decision making, and create forward-looking insights.
Develop and manage program reporting tools, such as dashboards and scorecards, to provide actionable insights on program expenses, capital project spending, headcount trends, risks, or opportunities.
Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to senior IT leaders to support resource management, capital investment, and procurement decisions.
Lead analysis and review of monthly actuals, including accruals, and update monthly and multi-year forecasts through detailed review and analysis of new and recurring contracts.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis or summaries for IT Leadership to assist in decision-making, transparency, and the financial impact of various program scenarios.
Support validation and review of JIRA Drive decision-making framework for IT spend approvals.
Align forecasts within Apptio to ensure leaders have visibility into near and long-term program expense projections.
Ensure forecasting data within Apptio matches external expense models.
Essential Skills
7+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience focusing on strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
Advanced knowledge of financial data modeling and cost classification.
Experience with expense analysis and accruals.
Comfortable with data and trend analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including IF Statements, VLookup, Power Pivot / Query, and SQL.
Experience with Workday and Apptio / Apptio One.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. An MBA in Finance or advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technology Business Management (TBM) or FinOps certifications are a significant advantage.
Previous IT experience with a strong focus on finance and financial planning and analysis.
CMA, CPA, FMVA, or FPAC certification preferred.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote opportunity with the flexibility to work from anywhere. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and requires strong project management and organizational skills. The candidate should be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and be capable of proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change. There is no specific dress code, as the role is remote.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00 / hr.
