THE ROLE :

The Telemetry Tech monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment. The role involves assisting the healthcare team by alerting them to any critical changes in a patient's heart rate or rhythm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in telemetry technology and possess a keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities : POSITION SUMMARY :

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
  • Alert the healthcare team to critical changes in a patient’s heart rate or rhythm.
  • Maintain accurate records of cardiac rhythms and any changes observed.
  • Assist in the care of patients by providing necessary telemetry data.
  • Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure effective patient care.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of telemetry equipment.
  • Educate patients and their families about telemetry monitoring and procedures.

  • Requirements :

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified Telemetry Technician course
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must have 1 year of acute hospital experience within the last 2 years.
