Family Practice  has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The  Associate Patient Care Coordinator   is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Location :   64 Boyden Rd. Holden, MA

\n

Hours (38.75) :   Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 : 30 AM-5 PM EST

\n

Primary Responsibilities :

\n \n

  • Answers phones and schedules appointments

\n

  • Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
  • \n

  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
  • \n

  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and / or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents
  • \n

  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
  • \n

  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • \n

  • Manages medical records (maintains, files / scans, prepares for schedule)
  • \n

  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and / or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc
  • \n

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
  • \n

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications :

    \n \n

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • \n

  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • \n \n

    Preferred Qualifications :

    \n \n

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • \n \n

    Soft Skills : \n \n

  • Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
  • \n \n

  • PLEASE NOTE
  • The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.  Candidates who are currently working for UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare or a related entity in a full time, part time or per diem basis ("Internal Candidates") are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus.

    Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
