Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for an experienced CAD Designer at our corporate office in Bryan, OH.

For over 110 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a family owned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in the modular, classroom, equipment shelter, and other light commercial markets. With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia, and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.

Scope and Responsibilities :

The CAD Designer creates and maintains solid models of products and components. From the models, the CAD Designer provides detailed drawings and renderings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop new product designs by creating detailed 3D models in Solid Works.
  • Work alongside lab technicians, model makers, and engineers to refine models after prototypes and testing, ensuring optimal design accuracy.
  • Prepare precise materials lists for each stage of product assembly to support efficient production processes.
  • Generate and update maintenance drawings, especially those required for Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Design forms and related documents as needed for other departments.
  • Assist manufacturing and production teams by providing technical support and addressing operational requirements.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned to further the objectives of the engineering department.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills / abilities :

  • Minimum Associate's degree in CAD or related field, and 1 year of experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in CAD software, with strong computer skills in Excel, Word, and Email.
  • Solid foundational understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to produce high-quality technical prints and drawings.
